go to Armstrong Redwood Preserve, if you haven't already. It's the best nearby place to see redwood trees and it's 2+ hours north of SF. It makes for a great day trip. You can walk all over the place. The trees are amazing. It's just memorable.

This may seem strange, but there are many people outside of Silicon Valley - especially outside the US - who'd be very surprised to learn how beautiful the valley is ("shocked" may be taking it a bit too far, but genuinely and deeply surprised).
